We are very sad to announce that long time Academy Member Jack Fitzgerald died on Monday aged 89. Jack coached in the Surrey area at various clubs until very recently.
I was very saddened to hear of the recent death of Bill Hoskyns, who was, without a doubt, one of the greatest fencers ever to wear a Great Britain tracksuit. On behalf of the Academy, I would like to extend our condolences to his family and friends on this sad occasion. Philip Bruce President, BAF

The Academy is deeply saddened to hear of the death Trevor Cox following illness. A lifelong fencer and coach, Trevor was a valued member and supporter of the BAF. A Mass and funeral will take place in Croydon on Tuesday 14th May. His widow, Frances, requests no flowers but donations to Macmillan Cancer.
